Ohana Disney World is an amazing restaurant located on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House at Disney’s Polynesian Resort in Orlando, Florida. It brings the vibrant Polynesian culture to life with two distinct dining experiences.

Start your day off right with the Best Friends Breakfast at ‘Ohana. This Polynesian-themed breakfast features the lovable characters Lilo and Stitch, who will warmly greet you, take photos, and even sign autographs. It’s the perfect way to kickstart your Disney adventure.

If you’re searching for an unforgettable family dinner in Disney World, look no further than ‘Ohana. The magic begins with a refreshing Mixed Greens Salad tossed in a zesty Citrus Vinaigrette. And let’s not forget the pièce de résistance—the Ohana Signature Bread. This warm, pineapple-infused bread slathered with honey butter is a heavenly combination of sweet and savory that is truly unique.

Once our appetites were awakened, our server presented us with a bounty of appetizers served in generous bowls and plates made for sharing. We indulged in the succulent Pork Dumplings drenched in a flavorful Garlic Chilli Sauce, tantalizing honey-coriander Chicken Wings, and scrumptious Asian Style Noodles. The combination of the noodles and chicken wings was simply divine. To balance out the flavors, a medley of fried vegetables accompanied these delectable plates.

Then came the main event—the Ohana Dinner Skillet. This magnificent feast featured a trio of mouthwatering delights. The Wood-fire Grilled Teriyaki Beef, Spicy Peel-n-Eat Shrimp, and Grilled Chicken with Polynesian-inspired Chimichurri Sauce were all perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. This time I would consider that the Chciken Chimichurri was the best plate offered in the Ohana Menu on this occasion, its very flavorful and has a smoky touch that people will enjoy so much.

It’s worth noting that due to safety measures during the pandemic, the traditional skewers were temporarily replaced with plentiful plates of beef, shrimp, and chicken. I’m eagerly awaiting the day when the interactive element returns, but until then, this new serving style still delivers a delightful dining experience.

Now, here’s a little secret for you: a hidden gem not listed on the menu. Don’t hesitate to ask your server for a generous serving of their velvety Mac and Cheese. It’s a delightful surprise that adds an extra layer of comfort to your dining adventure at ‘Ohana.

One last tip, If you are very unlucky to not get a reservation for the Ohana Restaurant but you still want to taste the Ohana Bread Pudding, you can still get this dessert at the Tambu Lounge Bar that is right next to the restaurant. This is a secret that just a few Disney Bloggers know and that I want to share because I want Disney Food Enthusiasts to try my favorite Dessert.

Reservations

Reservations for ‘Ohana are highly recommended, especially during peak travel times. Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance.

But here is also a friendly Tip, sometimes a few tables will show up to be available on the my Disney Experience App 2 days before your trip or planned date to visit the restaurant. This should be your last option to try to get a table but I’ve been lucky to find some tables available by doing this, what’s even crazier is that sometimes I’ve been very lucky to get a table the same day that I want to visit the restaurant, and this happens because of the same day cancellations so the My Disney Experience wants to fill all tables available even that same day.

You should try doing that if Ohana is not your main priority or didn’t find a table available when booking in advance.

Useful Tip for making last minute reservations for Ohana

During my last trip, I recently noticed that you can actually book a table at most Disney Restaurants on property the day before you want to visit the restaurant of your choice. I believe that this happens because most of the cancellations happen 24 hours before the day of the reservation so let’s say you want a table for the 30th of the month, I would suggest you start looking the My Disney Experience app constantly on the 29th for making a reservation. With this Last Minute Reservation Strategy I’ve managed to make reservations for Ohana and the super famous California Grill Restaurant.

Cost

The cost for the Best Friends Breakfast is $45 per adult and $29 per child (ages 3-9). The cost for dinner is $69 per adult and $39 per child (ages 3-9). It’s important to mention that drinks are not included so you have to consider this as an additional cost on the Menu.

Final Thoughts

‘Ohana is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal and experience Polynesian culture. The restaurant is family-friendly and offers a variety of dining options to fit everyone’s taste.I dare to say that this is one of my favorite restaurants in Disney World because of the Good Quality of the food served for the Breakfast and Dinner Experience and the Polynesian Theming of this place is simply incredible that enhances the experience for guests. I highly recommend having this restaurant as a top priority when making your dinner reservations. And like I said, the Ohana Bread Pudding is one of the best Desserts on all Disney Property and is something you cannot miss.
